धारणं चापि विद्यानां तीर्थानामवगाहनम्
dhāraṇaṃ cāpi vidyānāṃ tīrthānām avagāhanam
قال الصيّاد الحكيم: «ومن ذلك أيضًا: الثبات على حفظ العلم والعمل به، والاغتسال/الانغماس بخشوع في التيِرثا (tīrtha)، وهي المعابر المقدّسة، طلبًا للتطهير.»
व्याध उवाच
True dharma includes both inner discipline—retaining and living one’s learning—and outer disciplines such as tīrtha-bathing undertaken with reverence as a means of purification.
In the Vana Parva dialogue where the hunter (Vyādha) instructs a seeker on dharma, he lists practices that support righteous living, here emphasizing learning held firmly in conduct and the purificatory value of pilgrimage rites.
