एकपत्न्या यदुक्तो5सि गच्छ त्वं मिथिलामिति । जानाम्येतदहं सर्व यदर्थ त्वमिहागत:,उस पतिव्रता देवीने जो आपसे यह कहकर भेजा है कि “तुम मिथिलापुरीको जाओ।!' वह सब मैं जानता हूँ। आप जिस उद्देश्यसे यहाँ पधारे हैं, वह भी मुझे मालूम है
ekapatnyā yad ukto 'si gaccha tvaṃ mithilām iti | jānāmy etad ahaṃ sarvaṃ yad-arthaṃ tvam ihāgataḥ ||
قال الصيّاد: «إنّي أعلم ذلك كلَّه. أعلم أنّ الزوجة العفيفة أرسلتك قائلةً: “اذهب إلى مِثيلا”. وأعلم أيضًا الغاية التي جئتَ من أجلها إلى هنا».
व्याध उवाच
True understanding of dharma is not confined to social status or outward appearance; even a hunter can possess clear moral insight and speak authoritatively when grounded in righteous conduct.
The hunter addresses the visiting brahmin and reveals that he already knows the message given by the devoted wife—directing him to go to Mithilā—and also understands the visitor’s underlying purpose in coming.
