मातापितृपूजन-प्रधानधर्मः (Primacy of Filial Service) — Mārkaṇḍeya’s Account of the Vyādha’s Instruction
सतु धुन्धुर्वरं लब्ध्वा महावीर्यपराक्रम: । अनुस्मरन् पितृवधं द्रुतं विष्णुमुपागमत्,जब धुन्धु वर पाकर महान् बल और पराक्रमसे सम्पन्न हो गया, तब उसे अपने पिता मधु और कैटभके वधका स्मरण हो आया और वह शीघ्रतापूर्वक भगवान् विष्णुके पास गया
sa tu dhundhur varaṁ labdhvā mahāvīrya-parākramaḥ | anusmaran pitṛ-vadhaṁ drutaṁ viṣṇum upāgamat ||
ولما نال دُهندُهو تلك النعمة، غدا ذا قوةٍ عظيمة وبأسٍ بطولي. وإذ تذكّر مقتل أبيه، أسرع قاصدًا الاقتراب من الإله فيشنو.
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
Power gained through boons or austerity is ethically directed by memory and intention; when driven by grave motives like avenging a father, the narrative highlights turning toward divine authority (Viṣṇu) as a decisive moral and strategic recourse.
Dhundhu, now empowered by a boon and great prowess, recalls the killing of his father and immediately goes to Viṣṇu, indicating a transition from inner resolve (remembrance) to outward action (seeking the deity).
