dīpyamānaṃ yathā sūryas tejasā bharatarṣabha | bālūke bhitare channaṃ tasya śarīraṃ viśālaṃ bhayaṅkaraṃ ca | bharataśreṣṭha sa sva-tejasā sūrya-samāna uddypto babhūva ||
قال ماركاندييا: «يا ثور آل بهاراتا، لقد توهّج بضيائه كالشمس. كان جسده، وهو مختبئ في الرمل، عظيمًا مهولًا؛ ويا أفضل آل بهاراتا، فإنه ببهائه الذاتي كان يسطع سطوع الشمس.»
