वनमिदमुदारकं साध्वत्र रम्पतामिति,“महाराज! यह वन बहुत सुन्दर है, आप इसमें भलीभाँति विहार करें”
vanam idam udārakaṃ sādhu atra ram patām iti |
«أيها الملك العظيم، إن هذا الغاب بديع حقّاً. فأقم هنا وتمتّع فيه بما يليق.»
वैशम्पायन उवाच

The narrator Vaiśampāyana reports an address to a king, commending the beauty of the forest and inviting him to remain there and enjoy it—signaling a transition into a forest setting and its events.
