वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights reverence toward sages and the ethic of considerate inquiry—asking whether a revered guest or spiritual authority has been properly accommodated and is at ease, reflecting dharmic attentiveness in speech and conduct.
Vaiśaṃpāyana addresses the sage Mārkaṇḍeya, asking whether he has stayed within ‘my body’ and become fully rested, and requests him to speak—an inquiry that frames a larger account or revelation to follow.
