तस्यां प्रतिहतायां ते दानवा युद्धदुर्मदा: । प्राकुर्वन् विविधां मायां यौगपद्येन भारत,भारत! उस मायाका निवारण हो जानेपर वे रणोन्मत्त दानव एक ही समय अनेक प्रकारकी मायाका प्रयोग करने लगे
tasyāṃ pratihatāyāṃ te dānavā yuddha-durmadāḥ | prākurvan vividhāṃ māyāṃ yaugapadyena bhārata ||
قال أرجونا: «فلما أُحبطت تلك المايا، شرع محاربو الدانافا—وقد سكروا بجنون القتال—في إظهار شتّى صنوف الخداع دفعةً واحدة، يا بهاراتا.»
अजुन उवाच
The verse highlights an ethical contrast: when confronted with resistance, those aligned with adharma tend to escalate deception rather than accept restraint or fair combat. It implicitly commends steadiness and discernment—countering illusion with clarity and disciplined action.
Arjuna reports that after one magical illusion was neutralized, the Dānavas—emboldened by battle—immediately unleashed multiple new illusions at the same time, intensifying the conflict through deceptive, supernatural tactics.
