स्वरूपसदृशं चैव प्रादादड़विभूषणम् | अभेद्यं कवचं चेदं स्पर्शरूपवदुत्तमम्
svarūpasadṛśaṃ caiva prādād aḍavibhūṣaṇam | abhedyaṃ kavacaṃ cedaṃ sparśarūpavad uttamam ||
قال أرجونا: «ومنحني أيضًا حُلِيًّا يليق بهيئته ومقامه. وفوق ذلك، فإن هذا الدرعَ الممتاز لا يُثقب، وله صورةٌ ظاهرةٌ محسوسة.»
अजुन उवाच
The verse highlights the dharmic ideal that power and protection should be rightly bestowed and rightly received: gifts suited to one’s nature and role (svarūpa-sadṛśa) support responsible action, and true protection is framed as a means to uphold duty rather than mere display.
Arjuna is describing the bestowal of extraordinary items—an ornament appropriate to the giver’s stature and an excellent, impenetrable armour with tangible form—signaling that he has received exceptional protective equipment as part of the unfolding events in the forest narrative.
