Educational Q&A

The verse highlights a landscape shaped by a divine guardian (Kubera), suggesting that true prosperity and beauty arise from rightful protection and ordered stewardship rather than violence or seizure.

As the journey continues in the forest narrative, the Pāṇḍavas come upon splendid lotus-lakes on a great mountain—said to have been made by Kubera—teeming with swans and other water-birds.
