Arjuna’s Arrival and Reunion on the Sacred Mountain
evam ābhāṣya tān sarvān nivavṛte sa rākṣasaḥ | śaktiśūlagadāpāṇir abhyadhāvat sa pāṇḍavam ||
The verse highlights how anger and arrogance propel one toward violent, adharmic action, while the righteous are tested through sudden aggression—calling for courage, discernment, and measured response.
After addressing the group, the rākṣasa turns back, arms himself with a javelin, a piercing weapon, and a mace, and then charges directly at the Pāṇḍava Bhīma, initiating combat.
