Kirmīra-rākṣasa-saṃgamaḥ (Encounter and Slaying of Kirmīra) | किर्मीरेण सह भीमसेनसमागमः
मा रोदी: शुभतागम्राक्षि यदाह मधुसूदन: । तथा तद् भविता देवि नान्यथा वरवर्णिनि,“लालिमायुक्त सुन्दर नेत्रोंवाली देवि! वरवर्णिनि! रोओ मत। भगवान् मधुसूदन जो कुछ कह रहे हैं, वह अवश्य होकर रहेगा; टल नहीं सकता'
mā rodīḥ śubhatāgām-rākṣi yad āha madhusūdanaḥ | tathā tad bhavitā devi nānyathā varavarṇini ||
«لا تبكي، أيتها الإلهة ذات العينين الجميلتين المحمرّتين. إنّ ما نطق به مدهوسودانا سيقع لا محالة على ذلك النحو بعينه—لا على غيره، يا حسنة اللون.»
वासुदेव उवाच
The verse teaches steadfast trust in the truth and efficacy of the Lord’s word: what is spoken by Madhusūdana is certain to be fulfilled, so grief and anxiety should be relinquished in favor of faith and composure.
Vāsudeva addresses a distressed lady (devī), consoling her and stopping her tears by affirming that Kṛṣṇa’s declared outcome will inevitably occur exactly as stated, without deviation.
