Āraṇyaka-parva, Adhyāya 1 — The Pandavas’ Exit from Gajasāhvaya and the Citizens’ Lament (जनमेजयप्रश्नः; पाण्डवानां वनप्रस्थानम्)
निवर्ततागता दूरं समागमनशापिता: । स्वजने न्यासभूते मे कार्या स्नेहान्विता मति:,अच्छा, अब लौट जाइये, आपलोग बहुत दूर चले आये हैं। मैं अपनी शपथ दिलाकर अनुरोध करता हूँ कि आपलोग मेरे साथ न चलें। मेरे स््व्जन आपके पास धरोहरके रूपमें हैं। उनके प्रति आपलोगोंके हृदयमें स्नेहभाव रहना चाहिये
nivartatāgatā dūraṃ samāgamanaśāpitāḥ | svajane nyāsabhūte me kāryā snehānvitā matiḥ ||
قال يودهيشثيرا: «ارجعوا؛ فقد قطعتم مسافةً بعيدة. أستحلفكم بعهدٍ جليل: لا تصحبوني بعد الآن. إنّ أقربائي باقون عندكم وديعةً وأمانة؛ فليكن قلبكم عليهم مملوءًا بالمودّة.»
