विदुरस्य कृष्णं प्रति शमोपदेशः
Vidura’s Counsel to Krishna on the Limits of Peace
न च तत् कारणं विद्यो यस्मिन् नो मधुसूदन । पूजां कृतां प्रीयमाणैर्नामंस्था: पुरुषोत्तम,“मधुदैत्यका विनाश करनेवाले पुरुषोत्तम! हमें ऐसा कोई कारण नहीं जान पड़ता, जिसके होनेसे आप हमारी प्रेमपूर्वक अर्पित की हुई पूजा ग्रहण न कर सकें
na ca tat kāraṇaṁ vidmo yasmin no madhusūdana | pūjāṁ kṛtāṁ prīyamāṇair nāma sthāḥ puruṣottama ||
«يا مَدهوسودَنَ، لا نعلم سببًا يجعلُك لا تقبل العبادة التي نقدّمها بمحبةٍ وسرورٍ صادق. يا بُرُشوتَّمَ (أسمى الرجال)، لا تحجب عن هذا التعظيم حضورَك الكريم.»
