[दाक्षिणात्य अधिक पाठका ह “लोक मिलाकर कुल १७ ३ “लोक हैं।] नि हु मी अष्टचत्वारिशो< ध्याय: संजयका कौरवसभामें अर्जुनका संदेश सुनाना धृतराष्ट्र रवाच पृच्छामि त्वां संजय राजमध्ये किमब्रवीद् वाक्यमदीनसत्त्व: धनंजयस्तात युधां प्रणेता दुरात्मनां जीवितच्छिन्महात्मा
sañjaya uvāca | dhṛtarāṣṭra uvāca—pṛcchāmi tvāṃ sañjaya rājamadhye kim abravīd vākyam adīnasattvaḥ | dhanañjayas tāta yudhāṃ praṇetā durātmanāṃ jīvitacchin mahātmā ||
قال دريتاراشترا: «يا سانجيا، في حضرة هؤلاء الملوك أسألك: ماذا قال لنا دهانانجايا (أرجونا) ذو العزم الذي لا يلين—قائد المعارك الكثيرة، ذلك الماهاتما الذي يقطع حياة الأشرار—وأي رسالة بعث بها إلينا؟»
