Udyoga Parva, Adhyāya 38
tāṁs tvaṁ pade pratiṣṭhāpya loke vigata-kalmaṣaḥ | bhaviṣyasi naraśreṣṭha pūjanīyo manīṣiṇām ||

Restoring others to their rightful place is a dharmic act that removes moral blemish and earns the respect of the wise; political power should be guided by justice and public accountability.
In Udyoga Parva, Vidura counsels the Kuru king to avert impending conflict by reinstating the wronged party in their royal station; he frames this as both moral purification and a path to lasting honor.
