उद्योगपर्व — विदुरनीतिः (Adhyāya 37): आयुःक्षयहेतवः, नीतिसूत्राणि, बलभेदाः, पाण्डव-विग्रहदोषदर्शनम्
करिष्यन् न प्रभाषेत कृतान्येव तु दर्शयेत्
kariṣyan na prabhāṣeta kṛtānyeva tu darśayet
ينصح فيدورا بأنّ من عزم على الفعل لا يكثر الحديث عمّا سيفعله؛ بل لتكن الأعمال المنجزة هي البرهان. فالمغزى الأخلاقي هو كفّ اللسان والصدق في العمل: اجتناب الوعود الجوفاء وإظهار العزم بالنتائج.
