अन्वयातां तदा मध्ये वासुदेवधनंजयौ । बीचके दलमें राजाने विराट, जयत्सेन तथा पांचालदेशीय महारथी युधामन्यु और उत्तमौजाको रखा। हाथोंमें गदा और धनुष धारण किये ये दोनों वीर (युधामन्यु-उत्तमौजा) बड़े पराक्रमी और मनस्वी थे। उस समय इन सबके मध्यभागमें भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्ण और अर्जुन सेनाके पीछे-पीछे जा रहे थे

Transliteration

Vaiśampāyana uvāca | anvayātāṁ tadā madhye vāsudeva-dhanañjayau | bīcake dala-madhye rājānaṁ virāṭaṁ jayatsenaṁ tathā pāñcāla-deśīyaṁ mahā-rathiṁ yudhāmanyuṁ ca uttamaujasaṁ ca nyadhāt | gadā-dhanur-dharau etau vīrau mahā-parākramau manasvinau ca | tadā teṣāṁ sarveṣāṁ madhya-bhāge bhagavān śrīkṛṣṇaḥ arjunaś ca senāyāḥ pṛṣṭhataḥ pṛṣṭhataḥ yayatuḥ |

Translation

قال فايشامبايانا: ثم مضى فاسوديفا (كريشنا) ودهاننجايا (أرجونا) في وسط الصفوف. وفي قلب التشكيل وُضع الملك فيرات، وجاياتسينا، ومعهما عظيما مقاتلي العربات من بانشالا: يودامانيو وأوتاماوْجاس. وكان هذان البطلان، وفي أيديهما الهراوة والقوس، شديدي البأس ثابتَي العزم. وفي ذلك الحين، في صميمهم جميعًا، كان الرب شري كريشنا وأرجونا يسيران متتبعَين الجيش من خلفه.
