Adhyāya 195 — Arjuna’s Capability and Restraint Regarding Divyāstras

ततः पुनरनीकानि न््ययोजयत बुद्धिमान । मोहयन् धृतराष्ट्रस्य पुत्राणां बुद्धिनिश्चयम्,थोड़ी दूर जाकर बुद्धिमान् राजा युधिष्ठिरने धृतराष्ट्रके पुत्रोंके बौद्धिक निश्चयमें भ्रम उत्पन्न करनेके लिये अपनी सेनाका दुबारा संगठन किया
tataḥ punar anīkāni nyayojayat buddhimān | mohayan dhṛtarāṣṭrasya putrāṇāṃ buddhi-niścayam ||
ثم إنّ الملك الحكيم أعاد ترتيب صفوفه مرةً أخرى؛ وبهذا التنظيم المتعمَّد أراد أن يزعزع ويُربك عزم أبناء دِهرتراشترا واستقرار رأيهم في التدبير.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even in war, intelligence and disciplined organization can be ethically significant: leadership involves clear judgment and strategic action that reduces the opponent’s harmful resolve without needless escalation. The verse highlights prudence (buddhi) as a form of power.
Yudhiṣṭhira, after moving a short distance, reorganizes his forces again. This tactical redeployment is intended to confuse the Kauravas’ settled plans and weaken their confidence and coordination.
