राम उवाच
The verse highlights how anger can harden into a fixed resolve (saṅkalpa) and seek extraordinary means—here, austerity (tapas)—to achieve revenge. It implicitly warns that inner agitation, if unchecked, can redirect spiritual discipline toward destructive ends.
After speaking, the princess leaves with wrathful, unsettled eyes. Determined to perform austerities, she begins plotting the speaker’s death, indicating a shift from immediate confrontation to a long-term plan grounded in ascetic power.
