Indra-vijaya Upākhyāna and Śalya’s Assurance to Yudhiṣṭhira (इन्द्रविजयोपाख्यानम् — शल्ययुधिष्ठिरसंवादः)
tataḥ sāgaraparyantāṁ bhokṣyase medinīm imām | bhrātṛbhiḥ sahito vīra draupadyā ca sahānayā ||
The verse presents rightful sovereignty as the outcome of valor and perseverance in one’s duty: kingship is portrayed as a legitimate fruit of dharmic effort, to be shared with one’s kin and upheld with responsibility, not pursued as mere indulgence.
Śalya addresses a hero and foretells that, after the present crisis, he will rule the entire ocean-girt earth together with his brothers and with Draupadī—an encouraging assurance of future dominion following struggle.
