Agni-hymn, discovery of Indra, and the Nahuṣa threat
एवं स्तुतो हव्यवाट् स भगवान् कविरुत्तम: । बृहस्पतिमथोवाच प्रीतिमान् वाक्यमुत्तमम् | दर्शयिष्यामि ते शक्रं सत्यमेतद् ब्रवीमि ते
evaṁ stuto havyavāṭ sa bhagavān kavir uttamaḥ | bṛhaspatim athovāca prītimān vākyam uttamam | darśayiṣyāmi te śakraṁ satyam etad bravīmi te ||
فلما مُدِحَ على هذا النحو، سُرَّ إلهُ النار—حاملُ القُربان، المباركُ وأفضلُ الحكماء—وخاطب بْرِهَسْبَتِي بكلامٍ نفيس قائلاً: «يا براهمن! سأُريك شَكْرَ (إندرا). إنما أقول لك الحقَّ صدقًا».
