विभीषयन्निव जगत्‌ पाण्डवानभ्यवर्तत । रुक्‍मी मेघकी गर्जनाके समान भयानक टंकार करनेवाले विजय नामक धनुषको पाकर सम्पूर्ण जगत्‌को भयभीत-सा करता हुआ पाण्डवोंके यहाँ आया

vibhīṣayann iva jagat pāṇḍavān abhyavartata | rūkṣa-megha-garjanāke samāna-bhayānaka-ṭaṅkāra-karaṇavāle vijaya-nāmaka-dhanuṣko pākar sampūrṇa-jagatko bhayabhīta-sā kartā huā pāṇḍavoṅke yahā̃ āyā |

قال فايشَمبايانا: كأنه يُرعِبُ العالمَ كلَّه، تقدّم نحو الباندافا. ولمّا ظفر بالقوس المسمّى «فيجايا»، وكان رنينُ وترِه المرعب كزئير سُحُبِ الرعد العاتية، أتى إلى جانبهم حتى بدا كأن الدنيا بأسرها قد أصابها الفزع.
