कुरुक्षेत्रे सेनानिवेशवृत्तान्तः — Dhṛtarāṣṭra Questions Saṃjaya on the Deployed Armies

सेनापतिपतिं चक्रे गुडाकेशं धनंजयम्‌ । तदनन्तर उन्होंने निद्राविजयी वीर धनंजयको उन समस्त महामना वीर सेनापतियोंका भी अधिपति बना दिया

senāpatipatiṁ cakre guḍākeśaṁ dhanañjayam |

قال فَيْشَمْبَايَنَا: ثم إنهم ولّوا دَهنَنْجَيَا—أرجونا، المشهور بلقب غُودَاكِيشَا (قاهر النوم)—قيادةً عليا فوق قادة الجيش جميعًا. ويُبرز السرد مبدأً دَرْمِيًّا في قيادة الحرب: ففي زمن الشدة تُجْمَعُ السلطةُ في يدِ أشدِّ المحاربين كفاءةً وأعظمِهم ضبطًا للنفس، لكي تسودَ الانضباطُ والوحدةُ والتدبيرُ العادل.
