Kuntī–Karṇa Saṃvāda: Lineage Disclosure and Appeal to Fraternal Dharma

प्राड्मुखस्योर्ध्वबाहो: सा पर्यतिछठत पृष्ठतः । जप्यावसानं कार्यार्थ प्रतीक्षन्ती तपस्विनी,वह अपनी दोनों बाँहें ऊपर उठाकर पूर्वाभिमुख हो जप कर रहा था और तपस्विनी कुन्ती उसके जपकी समाप्तिकी प्रतीक्षा करती हुई कार्यवश उसके पीछेकी ओर खड़ी रही

prāṅmukhasyordhvabāhoḥ sā paryatiṣṭhat pṛṣṭhataḥ | japyāvasānaṃ kāryārthaṃ pratīkṣantī tapasvinī ||

قال فايشامبايانا: بينما كان واقفًا متجهًا نحو الشرق وذراعاه مرفوعتان، بقيت هي ثابتة خلفه تنتظر تمام تلاوته المقدّسة—كونتي، المرأة الزاهدة، واقفة هناك لضرورةٍ تقتضيها الحال. ويُبرز المشهد انضباط الطقس ووقار التحفّظ: فلا تقطع عليه الشعيرة، بل تنتظر اللحظة اللائقة لتفعل ما يلزم.
