Bhīṣma and Droṇa’s Counsel of Conciliation to Duryodhana
tathā tad astu dāśārha yathā vāg abhyabhāṣata | dharmaś ca edaḥ asti vāsṇeya tathā satyaṃ bhaviṣyati ||
The verse affirms that a rightly spoken word aligned with dharma should be treated as binding and trustworthy; when speech is grounded in righteousness, it is expected to become satya—fulfilled truth.
The speaker addresses Kṛṣṇa by honorific epithets (Dāśārha, Vāsṇeya), accepting and endorsing what Kṛṣṇa has declared, asserting that it is dharmic and will therefore be realized as truth.
