इन्होंने एकार्णवके जलमें सोते समय मधु और कैटभ नामक दैत्योंको मारा था और दूसरा शरीर धारण करके हयग्रीव नामक राक्षसका भी इन्होंने ही वध किया था ।। अयं कर्ता न क्रियते कारणं चापि पौरुषे । यद्‌ यदिच्छेदयं शौरिस्तत्‌ तत्‌ कुर्यादयत्नत:,ये ही सबके कर्ता हैं, इनका दूसरा कोई कर्ता नहीं है। सबके पुरुषार्थके कारण भी यही हैं। ये भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्ण जो-जो इच्छा करें, वह सब अनायास ही कर सकते हैं

ete ekārṇavake jale śayānasamaye madhu-kaiṭabha-nāmānau daityau jaghnur, dvitīyaṃ ca śarīraṃ dhṛtvā hayagrīva-nāmānaṃ rākṣasaṃ caiva jaghnur. ayaṃ kartā na kriyate kāraṇaṃ cāpi pauruṣe; yad yad icched ayaṃ śauris tat tat kuryād ayatnataḥ.

يُعلن فيدورا أن هذا الربَّ بعينه—الذي قتل قديمًا، وهو مستريحٌ على مياه المحيط الكوني، الدَّيْتَيَيْنِ مَدْهُو وكَيْطَبْهَ، ثم عاد فاتخذ هيئةً أخرى فقتل الراكساس المسمّى هَيَغْرِيفَا—هو الفاعل الحقّ وراء كل فعل. لا صانعَ فوقه ولا خالقَ سواه؛ وهو كذلك العلّة الباطنة التي تجعل سعي الإنسان مُثمِرًا. ومهما شاء شَوري (شري كريشنا) أتمَّه بلا كلفة ولا عناء.
