हन्त यत् ते प्रवक्ष्यामि तच्छुणुष्व समाहित: । ऋषीणां देवतानां च सम्भवं वसुधातले
hanta yat te pravakṣyāmi tac chṛṇuṣva samāhitaḥ | ṛṣīṇāṃ devatānāṃ ca sambhavaṃ vasudhātale ||
قال فايشَمبايانا: «هلمّ إذن—واصغِ بعقلٍ مجموعٍ لما سأقوله. سأروي لك بوضوحٍ وبحسن نيةٍ ظهورَ الحكماء (الرِّشي) والآلهة وأصولَهم على ظهر الأرض».
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse emphasizes disciplined listening and mental composure (samāhita) as prerequisites for receiving sacred narrative—especially accounts of origins that frame dharma and the moral order of the world.
Vaiśampāyana transitions into an explanatory section, announcing that he will recount the earthly manifestation/origins of ṛṣis and devatās, and instructs the listener to pay focused attention.
