अविलम्बमनायस्तमद्रुतं धीरमूर्जितम् । असंसक्ताक्षरपदं स्वरभावसमन्वितम्
avilambam anāyastam adrutaṃ dhīram ūrjitam | asaṃsaktākṣarapadaṃ svarabhāvasamanvitam ||
قال فايشَمبايانا: «لا ينبغي للتلاوة أن تكون متثاقلة مُجهِدة، ولا أن تكون مسرعة. بل تمضي بسكينةٍ وقوة، مع بيان الحروف والكلمات بيانًا واضحًا من غير إدغامٍ مُخلّ، ومع موافقة الصوت للمعنى والشعور. عندئذٍ يبلّغ القاصّ المراد بعذوبة، ويجعل السرد مفهومًا مؤثرًا.»
