Svargārohaṇa-parva Adhyāya 2 — Yudhiṣṭhira’s Inquiry for His Kin and the Vision of a Punitive Realm
ततः कुन्तीसुतो राजा देवदूतश्न जग्मतुः । सहितौ राजशार्दूल यत्र ते पुरुषर्षभा:,नृपश्रेष्ठ! तब कुन्तीपुत्र राजा युधिष्ठिर और देवदूत दोनों साथ-साथ उस स्थानकी ओर चले जहाँ वे पुरुषप्रवर भीमसेन आदि थे
tataḥ kuntīsuto rājā devadūtena jagmatuḥ | sahitau rājaśārdūla yatra te puruṣarṣabhāḥ ||
ثم مضى الملك، ابن كونتي (يودهيشثيرا)، مع الرسول الإلهي معًا. يا نمرَ الملوك، توجّها إلى الموضع الذي كان فيه أولئك الأفاضل من الرجال—إخوته الأبطال مثل بهيماسينا.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic integrity expressed as loyalty and moral consistency: Yudhiṣṭhira advances not for solitary reward but with concern for the fate and presence of his companions, implying that righteousness includes solidarity with the virtuous.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Yudhiṣṭhira and a celestial messenger proceed together toward the place where the foremost heroes—his brothers such as Bhīma—are located, continuing the Svargarohana sequence of encountering the Pāṇḍavas’ final destinies.
