अरण्यवृत्ति-वैराग्योपदेशः | Forest Discipline and the Program of Non-Attachment
विमुक्तः सर्वसंगेभ्यो व्यतीत: सर्ववागुरा: । न वशे कस्यचित्तिष्ठन् सधर्मा मातरिश्वन:
vimuktaḥ sarvasaṅgebhyo vyatītaḥ sarvavāgurāḥ | na vaśe kasyacit tiṣṭhan sa dharmā mātariśvanāḥ ||
قال يودهيشثيرا: «متحرّرًا من كل تعلّق، متجاوزًا شِباكَ المودّة والتشابك كلها، لن أبقى تحت سلطان أحد. ثابتًا في الدارما، سأجوب كل مكان كالريح—لا يعيقني عائق ولا يقيدني قيد.»
युधिछिर उवाच
True freedom is described as release from all forms of attachment and emotional entanglement, coupled with steadfastness in dharma. One should act and move in the world without being bound or controlled by others—like the wind, which touches all yet remains unconfined.
In the Shānti Parva’s reflective setting, Yudhiṣṭhira voices an aspiration toward renunciation and inner independence. He declares his intent to transcend binding relationships and live guided by dharma, using the wind (Mātariśvan/Vāyu) as an image of unobstructed movement.
