शोकाकुल-युधिष्ठिरं प्रति कुन्त्याः कालोचितोपदेशः | Kuntī’s Timely Counsel to the Grief-Stricken Yudhiṣṭhira
इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत शान्तिपर्वके अन्तर्गत राजधर्मानुशासनपर्वमें कर्णके पराक्रमका कथन नामक पाँचवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
iti prakāraṁ śrīmahābhārate śāntiparvaṇi antargate rājadharmānuśāsanaparvaṇi karṇaparākramakathana-nāmakaḥ pañcamo 'dhyāyaḥ samāptaḥ | yātitaḥ sa mayā pūrvaṁ bhrātṛyaṁ jñāpayituṁ tava | bhāskareṇa ca devena pitrā dharmabhūtāṁ vara ||
وهكذا ينتهي الفصل الخامس، المسمّى «ذكرُ بأسِ كَرْنَة»، ضمن قسم رَاجَذَرْمَانُوشَاسَنَة من شَانْتِي پَرْوَة في «شري مهابهاراتا». وقال نارادا: «يا يودهيشثيرا، يا خيرَ أهل الدارما، لقد سعيتُ من قبل إلى نصحه، راغبًا في أن أُعرّفك رباطَ الأخوّة. وكذلك فعل أبوه أيضًا—الإله بهاسكَرا، إله الشمس—إذ بذل الجهد نفسه.»
नारद उवाच
Even authoritative revelation of truth (by sages and gods) does not automatically transform human allegiance; dharma involves not only knowing what is right but also having the courage and timing to act on it, and the narrative highlights the ethical cost when truth is recognized yet not embraced.
Nārada addresses Yudhiṣṭhira, stating that he previously tried to inform Karṇa about his fraternal relationship with the Pāṇḍavas, and that Karṇa’s divine father Bhāskara (the Sun) also attempted the same—framing the background to Karṇa’s choices despite knowing his true kinship.
