राजधर्मप्रश्नः — Yudhiṣṭhira’s Inquiry into Rājadharma (Śānti-parva 56)

तत्र चेत्‌ सम्प्रमुह्देत धर्मे राजर्षिसेविते । लोकस्य संस्था न भवेत्‌ सर्व च व्याकुलीभवेत्‌,प्राचीन राजर्षियोंद्वारा सेवित उस राजधर्ममें यदि राजा मोहवश प्रमाद कर बैठे तो संसारकी व्यवस्था ही बिगड़ जाय और सब लोग दुखी हो जायेँ

tatra cet sampramuhyeta dharme rājarṣi-sevite | lokasya saṃsthā na bhavet sarvaṃ ca vyākulībhavet ||

فإنْ وقع ملكٌ، في تلك راجا-دهرما التي أقامها ومارسها ملوكُ الحكماء في القدم، في الوهم والغفلة، اختلّ نظام العالم من أساسه، وأُلقي الناس جميعاً في الضيق والاضطراب.
