Shloka 2

त॑ भार्याप्युपचक्राम पादशौचादिभिर्गुणै: । उपपन्नां च तां साध्वीं पन्नग: पर्यपृच्छत,वहाँ नागराजकी पत्नी पैर धोनेके लिये जल--पाद्य आदि उत्तम सामग्रियोंके साथ पतिकी सेवामें उपस्थित हुई। अपनी साध्वी पत्नीको समीप आयी देख नागराजने पूछा --[

tāṁ bhāryāpy upacakrāma pādaśaucādibhir guṇaiḥ | upapannāṁ ca tāṁ sādhvīṁ pannagaḥ paryapṛcchat |

قال بيشما: تقدّمت زوجةُ ملك الناغا إليه، حاملةً أطيب ما يُستعان به في الخدمة، كالماء لغسل القدمين (pādya) وسائر اللوازم. فلما رأى سيدُ الحيّات زوجتَه الصالحة قد دنت، سألها—وهكذا يستمر السردُ في بيان واجب البيت وخدمة الاحترام ضمن الدَّرما.
