ईप्सितस्येव सम्प्राप्तिरन्नस्य समयेडतिथे: । एषितस्यात्मन: काले वृद्धस्यैव सुतो यथा,भोजनके समय मनोवाजञ्छित अन्नकी प्राप्ति होनेसे अतिथिको, समयपर अभीष्ट वस्तुकी प्राप्ति होनेसे अपने मनको, पुत्रकी प्राप्ति होनेसे वृद्धको तथा मनसे जिसका चिन्तन हो रहा हो, उसी प्रेमी मित्रका दर्शन होनेसे मित्रको जितना आनन्द प्राप्त होता है, आज आपने जो बात कही है, वह मुझे उतना ही आनन्द दे रही है

Transliteration

īpsitasyeva samprāptir annasya samaye ’titheḥ | eṣitasya ātmanaḥ kāle vṛddhasyeva suto yathā ||

Translation

قال البراهمن: «كما يفرح الضيف إذا حضر الطعام في أوانه، وكما يتهلّل القلب إذا نال المرء ما اشتهى في الوقت المناسب، وكما يبتهج الشيخ إذا رُزق ولدًا—كذلك تمنحني كلماتك اليوم المقدار نفسه من السرور».
