अध्याय ३५१ — उञ्छवृत्ति-व्रतसिद्धेः मानुषस्य परमगतिः
Sūrya–Nāga Dialogue on the Perfected Gleaner-Ascetic
वेदाख्याने श्रुति: कार्या त्वया मतिमतां वर । तस्मात् कुरु यथा5ज्ञप्तं ममैतद् वचन मुने
Vaiśampāyana uvāca |
vedākhyāne śrutiḥ kāryā tvayā matimatāṁ vara |
tasmāt kuru yathājñaptaṁ mamaitad vacanaṁ mune ||
قال فايشَمبايانا: «يا أفضل الحكماء، لأجل شرح الفيدا ينبغي لك أن تجمع وتُرتّب نصوص الوحي (śruti)—الـṚk، والـSāman، والـYajus، وسائرها—كلًّا على حدة. فأنجز العمل كما أمرتُك تمامًا، أيها الحكيم. هذه وصيّتي إليك.»
