Actions and allotments made according to order (bhāga) return their corresponding results; when what is due is properly received, a fitting fruit is bestowed—here described as a result marked by ‘return’ (āvṛtti), emphasizing karmic reciprocity and restoration to one’s proper course.
The speaker (Vaiśaṃpāyana, narrating) conveys that the deities’ assigned share has reached him exactly as intended; satisfied, he declares that he will now grant them a reward characterized by ‘return/recurrence’ (āvṛtti-lakṣaṇa phala).
