Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the ethical posture of humility and reverence: when confronted with perceived sacred brilliance or higher power, people respond not with pride or fear but with joyful submission, expressed through añjali (folded hands) and repeated salutations.

The residents, delighted, fold their hands and repeatedly say “namaḥ,” then collectively rush with great speed toward a radiant presence (tejas), suggesting a sudden communal movement toward an auspicious or divine manifestation.
