Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the ethical and spiritual authority of sacred places and realized beings: even a devarṣi like Nārada seeks the company and sight of a region sanctified by Siddhas and Cāraṇas, implying that proximity to the virtuous and the holy supports dharma and inner refinement.

Bhīṣma narrates that at that particular moment Nārada travels to the Himālaya, intending to behold the mountain renowned as a resort of Siddhas and Cāraṇas—setting the scene for a spiritually significant encounter or instruction connected with that sacred setting.
