पितुर्वचनमाज्ञाय तमेवार्थ विचिन्तयन् । अध्यानं सो5तिचक्राम खेचर: खे चरज्निव,पिताकी आज्ञा मानकर उसी ज्ञातव्य विषयका चिन्तन करते हुए उन्होंने सारा मार्ग पैदल ही तै किया। जैसे आकाशचारी पक्षी आकाशमें विचरता है, उसी प्रकार वे भूतलपर विचरण करते थे
pitur vacanam ājñāya tam evārthaṁ vicintayan | adhyānaṁ so ’ticakrāma khecaraḥ khe carann iva ||
قال بيشما: لما فهم وصيّة أبيه وقَبِلَها، ظلّ لا يتأمّل إلا ذلك المقصد وحده. فأتمّ الرحلة كلّها ماشياً على قدميه، يجوب الأرض بحرّية وثبات كما يجوب الطائرُ السابحُ في السماء أفقَ السماء—مُظهِراً طاعةً منضبطة وتركيزاً لا يتزعزع على ما ينبغي أن يُعرَف ويُعمَل.
