ऐसा करनेसे वह उस सनातन पदको प्राप्त करता है, जो अशुद्ध चित्तवाले पुरुषोंको दुर्लभ है तथा जो अक्षय, अजन्मा, अचल, अविकारी, पूर्ण एवं कल्याणमय है ।।

evaṃ kṛtvā sa taṃ sanātanaṃ padaṃ prāpnoti, yad aśuddha-cittānāṃ puruṣāṇāṃ durlabham; akṣayaṃ ajanma acalaṃ avikāri pūrṇaṃ ca kalyāṇamayaṃ ca. iti śrīmahābhārate śāntiparvaṇi mokṣadharmaparvaṇi yājñavalkya-janaka-saṃvāde saptadaśādhika-triśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ.

وبهذا الفعل ينال المرء تلك المنزلة الأزلية—التي يعسر بلوغها على ذوي القلوب الملوَّثة—منزلةً لا فناء فيها، ولا ولادة، ولا حركة، ولا تبدّل، تامّةً وميمونةً كلّ الميمونة. وهكذا ينتهي في «المهابهاراتا»، في «شانتِي بَرفا»، ضمن قسم «موكشا-دهرما»، حوار ياجْنَفَلْكْيَا وجَنَكَ، الفصل السابع عشر بعد الثلاثمائة.
