Adhyātma–Adhibhūta–Adhidaivata Correspondences and the Triguṇa Lakṣaṇas (Śānti-parva 301)
वेदवादांस्तथा चित्रानृतूनां पर्ययांस्तथा । क्षयं संवत्सराणां च मासानां च क्षयं तथा,वेदोंके भाँति-भाँतिके विचित्र वचन, ऋतुओंके परिवर्तन तथा दिन, पक्ष, मास और संवत्सर आदि काल जो प्रतिक्षण बीत रहा है, उसकी ओर भी ध्यान दे। चन्द्रमाकी हासवृद्धि तो प्रत्यक्ष दिखायी देती है। समुद्रोंका ज्वारभाटा भी प्रत्यक्ष ही है। धनवानोंके धनका नाश और नाशके बाद पुनः वृद्धिका क्रम भी दृष्टिगोचर होता ही रहता है। इन सबको देखकर अपने कर्तव्यका निश्चय करे

قال بهيشما: «تأمّل أيضًا في الأقوال المتعددة العجيبة في الفيدا، وفي تعاقب الفصول، وفي انقضاء الزمن الذي لا ينقطع—سنواتٍ وأشهرًا سواء. فإذا رأى المرءُ كيف تتبدّل الأشياء وتذوي، وجب عليه أن يحدّد واجبه (الدارما) بوضوحٍ وثبات.»
