naivāvāmanyata tadā prītimaty eva cābhavat | devarṣikaṁ mukha-vānarake samānaṁ dṛṣṭvāpi sukumārī naivāvamanyata | sā tasmin prati sva-prītiṁ vardhayām āsaiva ||

Educational Q&A

Do not judge or dishonor someone based on outward appearance; uphold dharma by recognizing inner worth and responding with respect and steady goodwill.

Kṛṣṇa describes a maiden who, even after noticing a divine seer’s monkey-like face, does not mock or reject him; instead, she grows more affectionate toward him.
