Śānti-parva Adhyāya 30: Nārada–Parvata Samaya-bhaṅga, Śāpa, and the Marriage of Sukumārī
स तद् वाक्यं तु विज्ञाय नारद: पर्वतं तथा
sa tad vākyaṃ tu vijñāya nāradaḥ parvataṃ tathā | yukto 'pi nityadharmajña na vai svargam avāpsyasi ||
فلما فهم نارادا تلك الكلمات اشتدّ غضبه، فأنزل لعنةً على ابن أخته بارفاتا قائلاً: «ولو كنتَ منضبطًا ملازمًا للدارما على الدوام، فلن تنال السماء.»
