संद्रक्ष्यन्ति नरा श्चान्ये स्वरूपेण विनाकृतम् । 'प्रभो! यह सुकुमारी आपकी भार्या होगी
saṃdrakṣyanti narāś cānye svarūpeṇa vinākṛtam |
«وسيراك الناس الآخرون أيضًا كمن حُجِبت صورته الحقيقية—فلن تُرى هيئتك الطبيعية على ما هي عليه.» (وفي سياق الحكاية: مع أن الفتاة مقدَّر لها يقينًا أن تكون زوجتك، فإن إدراكها وإدراك الآخرين سيتبدّل بعد الزواج، فيبدو وجهك لهم كوجه قرد، كأن قناعًا قد ستر صورتك الحقة.)
