Chapter 29
शतं गवां सहस्नाणि शतमश्चृतराणि च । उत्थायोत्थाय वै प्रादात् सहस्नं परिवत्सरान्,वे हजार वर्षोतक प्रतिदिन सबेरे उठ-उठकर एक-एक लाख गौओं और सौ-सौ खच्चरोंका दान करते थे
śataṃ gavāṃ sahasrāṇi śatam aśvatarāṇi ca | utthāyotthāya vai prādāt sahasraṃ parivatsarān ||
قال فايُو: «كان ينهض صباحًا بعد صباح، مرة إثر مرة، فيواصل التصدّق بمئات الألوف من الأبقار، وبمئاتٍ من البغال أيضًا؛ وقد داوم على ذلك ألفَ سنة.»
