वृत्ति-सत्सङ्ग-दान-धर्म

Livelihood, Virtuous Association, and Ethics of Giving

हाहाभूतं जगत्‌ सर्वमुपलक्ष्य तदा प्रभु: । पितामहो महादेवं दर्शयन्‌ प्रत्यभाषत

hāhābhūtaṃ jagat sarvam upalakṣya tadā prabhuḥ | pitāmaho mahādevaṃ darśayan pratyabhāṣata ||

قال بهيشما: «عندئذٍ عمّت أرجاءَ العالم صرخاتُ الكرب. فلما رأى الربُّ—بيتامها براهما—ذلك، أرى ماهاديفا كارثةَ الكون وخاطبه.»

When the world falls into collective suffering, those with greater power and responsibility must not remain indifferent; they should recognize the crisis and seek appropriate remedial action, even by appealing to higher wisdom or divine agency to restore dharma and cosmic balance.

A universal calamity has arisen, causing widespread lamentation. Brahmā (called Pitāmaha) observes this condition and, showing the distressed state of the world to Mahādeva (Śiva), begins to address him—setting up a request or counsel aimed at resolving the crisis.
