तं तु यज्ञ तथारूपं गच्छन्तमुपलभ्य सः
taṃ tu yajña tathārūpaṃ gacchantam upalabhya saḥ
ولكن حين أدرك أن تلك الذبيحة—على هيئةٍ مميّزةٍ فريدة—تمضي قُدُمًا في مجراها، تنبّه لها ووسمها في قلبه، إذ كانت لحظةً فاصلة في انكشاف مسار الطقس وما ينطوي عليه من دلالاتٍ أخلاقية.
भीष्म उवाच
The line foregrounds attentive discernment in matters of dharma: a yajña is not merely an act but a morally charged process whose ‘form’ and trajectory must be recognized and evaluated by the wise.
Bhishma describes someone noticing a particular kind of sacrifice as it proceeds; the verse functions as a narrative hinge, preparing for the observer’s subsequent response or intervention based on what has been perceived.
