ऋतं सत्यं विदितं वेदितव्यं सर्वस्यात्मा स्थावरं जड़मं च । सर्व सुखं यच्छिवमुत्तरं च ब्रह्माव्यक्त प्रभवश्चवाव्ययं च,अतः वह ब्रह्म ऋत, सत्य, ज्ञात, ज्ञातव्य, सबका आत्मा, स्थावर-जंगमरूप, सम्पूर्ण सुखरूप, कल्याणमय, सर्वोत्कृष्ट, अव्यक्त, सबकी उत्पत्तिका कारण और अविनाशी है

ṛtaṃ satyaṃ viditaṃ veditavyaṃ sarvasyātmā sthāvaraṃ jaḍamaṃ ca | sarva-sukhaṃ yac chivam uttaraṃ ca brahmāvyakta-prabhavaś cāvyayaṃ ca ||

يُعلن كابيلا أن براهمان (Brahman) هو عين مبدأ النظام الكوني (ṛta) والحقّ (satya)—هو ما عُرف وما ينبغي أن يُعرف. وهو الذات الباطنة لكل الكائنات، شاملاً الثابت والجامد وعديم الإحساس أيضاً. وهو تمام السعادة، والبركة، والخير الأسمى؛ غير متجلٍّ (avyakta)، المصدر الذي عنه تنشأ الأشياء كلها، وهو غير فانٍ. ومغزى ذلك أخلاقياً أن الحقيقة المطلقة ليست منحازة ولا طائفية: إنها تسري في الجميع، وتؤسّس للصدق، وتقوم غايةً عليا تتجاوز اللذّات الزائلة.
