परिव्राजक-आचारः (Conduct of the Wandering Renunciant) — Mahābhārata, Śānti-parva 269
सर्व विदुर्वेदविदो वेदे सर्व प्रतिष्ठितम् । वेदे हि निष्ठा सर्वस्य यद् यदस्ति च नास्ति च,वेदज्ञ पुरुष सभी विषयोंको जानते हैं; क्योंकि वेदमें सब कुछ प्रतिष्ठित है। जो-जो वस्तु है और जो नहीं है, उन सबकी स्थिति वेदमें बतायी गयी है
sarva vidur vedavido vede sarva pratiṣṭhitam | vede hi niṣṭhā sarvasya yad yad asti ca nāsti ca ||
قال كابيلا: «إن الذين يعرفون الفيدا حقًّا يعرفون كل شيء، لأن في الفيدا تقوم الأشياء كلها وتستقر. فالفيدا هي الملجأ الأخير لكل فهم: تُبيّن مقام ما هو موجود وما ليس بموجود.»
कपिल उवाच
