कपिल उवाच नाहं वेदान्‌ विनिन्दामि न विवक्ष्यामि कहिचित्‌ | पृथगाश्रमिणां कर्माण्येकार्थानीति न: श्रुतम्‌,कपिलने कहा--मैं न तो वेदोंकी निन्‍्दा करता हूँ और न कभी उन्हें विपरीत बात बतानेवाला बताता हूँ। पृथक्‌ू-पृथक्‌ आश्रमवालोंके जो कर्म हैं, उन सबके उद्देश्य एक ही हैं--ऐसा हमने सुन रखा है

Transliteration

kapila uvāca nāhaṃ vedān vinindāmi na vivakṣyāmi kahicit | pṛthagāśramiṇāṃ karmāṇy ekārthānīti naḥ śrutam |

Translation

قال كابيلا: «لستُ أذمّ الفيدا، ولا أزعم قطّ أنها تُعلِّم ما هو مخالف للحق. وقد سمعنا أن الواجبات المؤدّاة في مراحل الحياة الروحية المختلفة (الأشرمات)—وإن اختلفت صورها—إنما تتجه إلى غاية واحدة».
